A total of 32 teams take part in the group stage. 26 automatically qualified teams had already been determined, and six more were added through qualification.

Bayern won the final in Lisbon against Paris and won the title in the European premier class for the sixth time, and Munich will of course also be the defending champions in 2020/21.
Champions League Draw: What changes are there?
After the 2019/20 season ended on August 23, the entire schedule for 2020/21 has to be postponed a little. The qualification, which was supposed to start on June 23rd, started on August 8th. The group stage will be drawn on October 1st and will start on October 20th. No changes are planned for the end of the knockout round.
The UEFA Executive Committee decided on September 24th that five substitutions will be allowed for the remainder of the season. As a result, the number of players allowed on the score sheet will be increased to 23.
Champions League Draw: A game or a return game? With fans or without?
All qualifying matches were played in just one game. There were return games in the play-off round. The encounters will take place in front of empty stands until further notice.

Champions League Draw: Where will the final be held?

The final will be played in the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, where the 2020 final should be played. St. Petersburg, the planned host for 2021, will now host the final in 2022.
With a capacity of more than 70,000, games of the Turkish national team take place in the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, and it has also been the temporary home ground of the Istanbul clubs Galatasaray, İstanbul Başakşehir and Beşiktaş several times.
